We are looking for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Sydney NSW. In this exciting and fast paced role your day to day will include : Mentoring and management of the NSW geotechnical team Technical support and verification for junior staff within the Intrax geotechnical team Refining and delivering on the strategy for the NSW geotechnical team with support from the national geotechnical leadership group Strengthening existing and forging new client relationships in the local market Monitoring and reporting on financial performance of the NSW geotechnical team Providing technical support to Intrax’s business development team Traveling and minor fieldwork may be required as part of the role Providing high quality geotechnical consultation on a broad range of projects, including foundations, retaining walls, slope stability investigations, pavement designs and earthworks supervision Effectively communicate and consult on design outcomes with clients Delivering or guiding complex geotechnical projects and navigate local government and regulatory requirements Maintaining OHS standards within the geotechnical team To be successful in this role you will: A tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution CPEng or equivalent Minimum 10 years’ experience in a geotechnical role Minimum 5 years’ local experience within the Sydney basin geology Network of industry connections within NSW Motivated to shape and grow the direction of their own geotechnical team Experienced geotechnical investigation background to AS1726 Excellent verbal and written communication skills Record of developing and sustaining client relationships Able to negotiation complex project contracts (i.e. government) Proficient software skills in major geotechnical design suites (RocScience, Wallop) and Microsoft Suite Excellent time management and organisational skills An ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines Experience in implementing Australian standards, Industry standards & TfNSW standards Current valid driver’s license By joining the team at Intrax, you will have access to a range of benefits including: Our mission is to Create, Inspire, Grow so whatever your role, life stage, or background, you can shape your career at Intrax in your own way with highly challenging work, great colleagues, plus a range of flexible benefits and working patterns.
