Responsibilities Design, code, test and install applications programs either in one major program or a range of programs across multiple platforms. Apply agreed standards and tools to achieve well engineered results Produce estimates for routine development tasks Assist in the analysis and design of applications programs and databases. Undertake defect analysis for simpler defects. Modify and troubleshoot applications programs. Provide support to clients during implementation, where required. Maintain and update environments under direction. Requirements Essentials 3 years of experience in Programming and Applications Design, coupled with tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Developed skills in one or more of the major programming languages relevant to the role: Syn : Java, SQL, XML Understanding of architecture and design standards Demonstrated skills in personal work organisation and time management Ability to communicate effectively Ability to work well within a team environment Understanding of the software development lifecycle Desirable Experience in an Agile environment Ability to learn, change and adapt Previous experience in financial serviced highly regarded
