12 month full-time fixed contract | Maternity leave cover Key leadership position for experienced medical administrator The Opportunity The Patient Administration Manager will be responsible for the management of patient administration services throughout the Northern Private Hospital. This is a key leadership position which will see the successful candidate: Support the opening of the hospital and assist in the hiring of the Administration Department Lead the reception, scheduling and clerical teams Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient admissions, discharges and management of patient out of pocket costs Ensure the appropriate management of patient records and that data is collected, collated and managed in line with site, state and federal legislative requirements About You To succeed in this role, you will have exceptional communication skills both verbally and in writing coupled with the ability to lead, motivate and develop others to achieve results. You will be highly organised with a strong attention to detail and a keen commercial acumen. Your Skills and Experience Front office management experience within proven ability to manage a team, ideally within a health care environment Demonstrated ability to successfully manage individuals and work groups/Rosters for a large team Knowledge and ability of working to key performance indicators and budget constraints Willingness to learn and ability to adapt to changes Ability to understand and apply the practicalities of health fund contracts Ability to achieve quality outcomes for all stakeholders Understanding of Medical terminology Experience using Meditech or similar patient administration software highly desirable What's in it for you? About Our New Hospital The Northern Private Hospital is a brand new 70-bed facility, with operating theatres, cardiac catheter lab, inpatient wards and a day oncology centre. Future plans allow for the continuing development of the site to continue to grow and meet the heath care requirements of this expanding community.
