About the role: The FIS Australasia Technology team is made up of 60 people based in Melbourne, Sydney, Manila and India. This role sits within the Infrastructure team and requires working within a dynamic environment that is growing fast. The team are involved in the deployment and running of new technology stacks and maintaining our server infrastructure, networks, cloud connectivity and ensuring we can deliver for our customer’s needs. In this role you will be involved in the deployment and running of new technology stacks and maintaining our server infrastructure, networks, cloud connectivity and ensuring we can deliver for our customer’s needs. The role on offer will see you working with the local Linux operations team on our fleet of around 600 servers and will look at maintaining overall environment health, facilitating complex changes, and getting involved in trouble shooting for the Linux and infrastructure environments. What you will be doing: Installing, configuring, implementing and maintaining systems Working on large, complex systems that require skill in multiple technical environments Monitoring usage and tuning systems for optimum performance Administering, installing and configuring, maintenance and patching of NetApp storage systems Administering, installing and configuring, maintenance and patching of CISCO switches and Dell Servers Responsible for data storage infrastructure and support Operations/Project teams for installation and maintenance of the storage infrastructure Designing, monitoring and modifying all storage related technologies Identifying and automating manual tasks using scripting and application development Providing technical analysis, problem resolution and proposing solutions Visiting data centres for maintenance and resolution of storage issues Researching, evaluating and recommending software/hardware products Implementing system enhancements that will improve reliability and performance of system Maintaining a stable and secure systems environment Management of SSL/TLS Certificates associated with a Certificate Authority. Out of hours work will be required for changes/upgrades and for being part of an on-call rotation to take escalations from the Level 1 on call team. What you bring: A minimum of 5 years of hands on experience in System Administration 5 years of hands-on VMware virtualisation and/or cloud experience Excellent knowledge of vSphere, experience with ESXi, vCentre and vMotion Excellent knowledge of best practice VMware deployment techniques Excellent knowledge of NetApp storage Experience with configuration and maintenance of NetApp clusters(AFF300 & AFF400) and underlying storage technologies such as ONTAP, Snapcentre and Flexvol etc Expert knowledge of Dell servers and networking concepts Expert knowledge of CISCO switches (Cisco 9000 series) Backup technology experience, configuration and maintenance of Veritas & Rubrik backup appliances Management of SSL/TLS Certificates.
