We are seeking motivated professionals to step into the exciting and challenging role of Senior Civil Engineer for our water infrastructure projects based in our Melbourne office. Our projects span the lifecycle of project delivery from feasibility studies through to detailed design packages for construction. About the role: We have a healthy workload focused on water supply and sewerage schemes with key water authorities in Victoria and as such, we are seeking determined professionals to join our thriving, high-performing team. You will join a dynamic and skilled team that works on water infrastructure projects, not only locally, but across the APAC region. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will provide professional engineering skills in the areas of water and wastewater infrastructure along with the following: Perform civil engineering tasks as assigned by the lead engineer or project manager which may include engineering drawings, calculations, reports, design criteria, to support our water infrastructure projects. Undertake site visits associated with your project work. Assist with developing and managing the project scope including cost estimates, budget, staffing and schedule. Work collaboratively with our local clients and colleagues across SEQ, Australia and the wider Asia pacific business. Partner with a diverse client base from local government, industry and private development. If of interest, or within your skillset, there is opportunity to perform superintending/contract administration roles to support the implementation of water and sewer infrastructure projects for our clients. About you Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years professional experience in the consulting or engineering industry. Chartership/Victorian Professional Engineers Registration or working towards this. Strong technical experience in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks. Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants for regional and urban water authorities desirable but not essential. Expertise with dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies. Strong ability to prioritize workloads whilst maintaining strong and trusting work relationships with our clients and colleagues both locally and across the broader Stantec team.
