Operations Engineer — The Narrows, Darwin

The Operations Engineer role is instrumental in assisting the Completions Manager as they advance the company's overall vision and mission through operations. With the pending expected commercialization of the Beetaloo Sub-basin, dealing with key stakeholders, a rigorous regulatory environment, and public perception of fracture stimulation in the NT, this role will be extremely visible as it carries the Tamboran banner going forward. Tamboran is committed to continuing to building a presence in the NT as it expands its program so the position will require extensive travel to the NT, if not located there. Description of Service and Expectations: Manage local sand mining projects to support large scale NT hydraulic fracture stimulation operations; Lead water resourcing and management projects to support large scale NT hydraulic fracture stimulation operations; Support the planning, design, and execution of hydraulic stimulation and completion of horizontal shale gas wells, supporting completion operations through technical leadership, and conducting activities in compliance with functional processes and policies and local regulations; Be seen as a safety leader with passion to obtain the industry's best and leading safety culture; Provide leadership for day to day onsite operations, and be accountable for all aspects of performance (HSSE, people, and financial delivery); Create an environment that enables the business to drive operations excellence and achieve our vision, leading the design and planning, and ensuring activities are conducted in line with the relevant internal and external policies, procedures and regulations; Provide in country support for the Company's key stakeholder management, supply chain management, and contractor relationships to ensure safe and flawless execution; and Perform other reasonable duties as requested. Preferred Minimum Candidate Requirements: Must have a minimum of 10 years of service in the oil and gas business. College or undergraduate degree in engineering, or similar technical program required. Completion engineering and project management is preferred; water and sand project management is beneficial. Must have experience working in Australia. Experienced and proficient with oral and written communications including public speaking; Must be widely known as a safety leader by the field teams. Regular travel to Darwin or Brisbane will be expected; approximately 30% travel. The Operations Engineer will work closely with the US technical team and will be expected to be available for meetings outside of normal working hours as well as being on 24 hour call when supervising active drilling and completion campaigns.
