Sales Operations Manager — The Rocks, Sydney

Job Overview: The Sales Operations Manager holds a key position within the Sales & Marketing team. You will help to drive optimum sales performance and excellence. The position plays a vital role in improving market share and growth through all major channel segments across our business units, working closely with the Director Sales & Marketing to provide key business intelligence and analysis to the Nationwide Sales Team. The role specifically manages and ensures optimal sales performance & effort metrics. It provides deep thinking and analysis towards optimising our strategies that make us successful in what we do. With a thorough management of the sales process – the position will help provide program and sales incentive strategies, implementation, and Operations and be the conduit for all Sales & Strategic Planning. To be successful in the role, you will put process as a no 1 priority to ensure a quality result while supporting the sales team’s objectives. Immediate Superiors: - Director Sales & Marketing. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Help the Director of Sales build a strategic sales plan for how we manage channel and territory coverage and approach . Coordinate sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes. Implement and manage CRM tools to maximise opportunities and customer relationships. Conduct regular analysis of the Partner network to ensure optimal performance is being realised. Help the Director of Sales manage the roadmap for enhancing the design and capabilities of the sales organisation spanning workflow processes, sales roles, productivity tools & data and specialised support services. Provide data and analysis to identify trends and sales opportunities and support strategic decision-making. Provide support to the Sales team and their sales pipeline to help them achieve success. Supporting the Director of Sales in the system development life cycle for sales and customer related processes across the various IT systems. Deliver business insights and demonstrate thought leadership with analysis of reports and feedback to internal stakeholders and business units. Identify issues and challenges related to sales process & strategy and drive timely resolution. DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY Liaising with peers and clients to ensure the best solutions are reached. JOB CHALLENGES & PROBLEM SOLVING High level of analytical and financial analysis and presentation. Managing a high workload whilst remaining organised. Delivering information and processes to a widespread team who are always on the go and have comprehensive set of responsibilities. Dealing with highly sensitive information with a sense of professionalism and privacy at all times Having a flexible and adaptable approach to supporting the sales team and problem solving. Taking accountability for decisions. Analysing and presenting data to internal and external stakeholders RELATIONSHIPS Internal: All levels of staff from the Chief Executive Officer to the most junior company members regardless of Team or Division. Communication with Partners from time to time. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: 2 years’ experience in Sales Operation’s or as a Business / Sales Analyst with a clear inclination for sales development and management. Looking for someone with a penchant for numbers who views themselves more than just someone who creates reports. Strong Excel skills Knowledge of Database and warehousing desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strategic analysis, planning and thinking. Proven problem-solving abilities. Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to make informed decisions. Proactive, results-driven, and able to work independently or as part of a team. History using and developing Salesforce or other CRM software and sales tools would be advantageous. Knowledge of the car hire sector or other mobility solutions would be advantageous. Positive attitude, highly motivated with an ability to make decisions in a fast-moving environment. Ability to work autonomously. A commitment to achieve results. Location: Based in Artarmon there may be a requirement for interstate travel from time to time.
