Our well-established maintenance team based in Townsville are currently seeking a Signal Electrician to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. About the Team Working out of our Bohle depot and reporting to the Wayside Systems Coordinator, you will be joining a team of twelve signal electricians and apprentices. The team maintains various signalling assets spanning across 250 kilometres of the North Coast Line. About the role: As a Signal Electrician you will carry out the installation, maintenance, and repair of signalling equipment as well as report on the performance and condition of signalling assets. You will play a key role in achieving our vision of delivering world-class rail services for our customers by ensuring the safety and reliability of our assets and services. In this role you will: Install, maintain, repair and adjust electrical signalling equipment. Undertake scheduled maintenance activities on signalling equipment. Attend signalling failures to analyse, repair and report on cause of failures. Maintain records and documentation relating to signal maintenance and costing systems. Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program and report any equipment irregularities. Work predominately between the hours of 0715 to 1615 on a 9-day fortnight About you: Must have Certificate IV Railway Signalling Must have current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence Must have current Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence or interstate equivalent that can be changed over prior to starting Experienced in the installation, maintenance and fault rectification of signalling equipment Must have the capacity to travel and work throughout regional Queensland For further information please click here to view the Position Description .
