BDM needed for a building products company, highly competitive salary with uncapped commissions paid quarterly. The Company Our client is an established Australian company providing building products for construction. They have a head office in Sydney and sales offices and distributors across Australia and New Zealand. The Position An exciting opportunity has become available for a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive business growth in the Melbourne region. As the BDM, you will play a pivotal role in propelling our client's growth, both by generating new leads and nurturing existing relationships. This role demands a unique blend of creativity, dynamism, and superior interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with Tier 1 and down builders, trades etc. Having pre-established connections and leads with Tier 1-2 builders will be a significant advantage. The Role The role includes (but not limited to): Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, aligning with our client's strategic vision and innovation in building solutions. Strengthen and expand relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and delivering custom solutions. Lead a team of estimators, inspiring them to achieve excellence and contributing to a collaborative work environment. Represent our client in the industry, demonstrating their one-stop-shop capabilities and unique value proposition at events and forums. The Candidate The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in business development or sales, particularly in the construction industry (preferred). Some working knowledge around construction (preferred). Pre-established connections and leads with Tier 1-2 builders (preferred). Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
