Excellent Camp close to Westonia - Pool, Local Shop, Gym 6-month max term opportunitiy ABOUT THE ROLE The Edna May Underground Operation are seeking a UG Electrician to join the team on a 6-month contract. Working 8 days on, 6 days off, the team bus in and out from Perth in company time. Maintain the efficient and safe operations for electrical equipment and systems within the Underground mine installations. Assist the Electrical Supervisor in the maintenance of surface infrastructure including Processing equipment, generators, camp and other associated surface installations when not engaged in underground maintenance. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, this role will involve: Ensure all work is carried out to current Australian standards, statutory and regulatory requirements Follow the company's standards, specifications and expectations. Complete testing and documentation of equipment before energisation and sign off to ensure safe and efficient operation. Maintain underground electrical infrastructure, pumping and ventilation systems. Maintain electrical equipment and systems for the Underground mine. Assist with maintenance of surface infrastructure. Attend to breakdowns and call outs as required in a timely manner. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and record keeping. Support and supervise contractors on site with working to company procedures and standards. ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role, we would like to see; Electrical trade qualification and competency certificates. West Australian Unrestricted Electrical Licence. Current High Voltage Switching Ticket. Senior First Aid. High Risk Work Licence - Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift Experience in an underground maintenance environment or in heavy industry maintenance & installation (preferably gold mining). Experience with pumping systems &power generation. High voltage switching & permitting systems. Working knowledge of relevant Australian electrical standards and regulations. A West Australian C class driver's license (manual) and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance purposes.
