Our client is the Australian arm of a globally recognised company that manufactures and supplies innovative construction products and installation solutions used throughout the commercial and industrial construction industry, both within Australia and globally. The company's unique product range offers contractors a distinct advantage in speed and simplicity of installation of mechanical and electrical services and can be seen in high rise buildings, distribution centres, hospitals, schools, universities, and large cold storage facilities. Currently there is an exciting opportunity to join this dynamic, privately owned company in the role of Area Sales Manager. The Role Reporting to the QLD State Manager, the role will see you working from a home-based office where you will be part of a small, high performing team responsible for the sales and marketing of the company's solutions throughout QLD. The role will require identifying and winning new business through the development and management of customer relationships with the likes of commercial / industrial builders and specialist mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing & Fire) and electrical contractors. The position will also require educating and training customers on the company's solutions and installation methods and communicating the company's value proposition to continuously secure new projects and ensure growth targets are achieved. Necessary Skills / Experience Five years of external sales or business development experience in the commercial construction industry; Proven sales and business development skills with a demonstrated ability to win new customers and maintain existing relationships; Self-motivated, reliable, capable of working autonomously and keen to learn; Previous experience selling premium construction solutions would be an advantage; Proven ability to learn, retain and communicate technical product knowledge; Professionally presented with well-developed communication and relationship building skills; and Sound computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office and CRM's.
