Some of the key responsibilities will include but not limited to: Lead a team of Project Managers to assist in their delivery of projects on time and on budget Achieve budgeted profit & margins for division at Group level Assist the NQ & NT Branch Manager in developing a large client base and supporting sales bid/decisions Assist the QLD & NT Construction Manager in managing the construction teams Monitor and maximise opportunities for variations across projects Conduct technical reviews of contracts and manages supplier and sub-contractor relationships Direct and lead the light commercial team to maximise opportunities in this space Provide coaching and advice and assistance to Team members as required Ensure accurate report and forecast to the QLD & NT Construction Manager Develop strong working relationships with clients to ensure long term and repeat business for the group Desired Skills and Experience What makes you stand out An ideal candidate will demonstrate their proven leadership and management experience in the construction and/or similar industry, an understanding of the challenges of working in a dynamic and fast-growing business, and the following attributes: Relevant Tertiary qualification (desirable) Exceptional communication skills Exceptional customer service skills Collaborative Understanding of commercial legal requirements and construction contracts Self-motivated Exceptional time management Culture Most importantly the candidate will be able to demonstrate how they work within the VAE company values of Energy, Synergy and Success .
