Warehouse Assistant's required to join the Lindsay Fresh team based at the Rocklea Markets About the Company: The Lindsay Group proudly operates an extensive Rural and National Transport and Logistics business across various locations connecting growers, regional communities and businesses with cities and sellers of fresh food across Australia. As part of the group Lindsay Transport is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia, specialising in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres to help our customers best meet their national supply chain needs. Lindsay Rural and the Hunters business provide essential services and products to rural Australia across most Australian growing regions. Lindsay Fresh is also involved in transhipping, ripening services, and produce storage for customers and market agents as well as cross-docking, fumigation and import/export. Today we employ over 1,800 exceptional individuals, with roughly 35% based in Regional Australia, and together we service over 1.5 million tonnes of temperature-controlled freight every year across the country. The Role: Warehouse Assistant’s required for our Quarantine team at our Lindsay Fresh Logistics division located in the Brisbane Markets, Rocklea. This is a hands-on physical role. If you are looking to get a foot in the door in the logistics industry this is a great opportunity. Your main responsibilities will include: Loading and unloading sea freight containers and airfreight units. Assisting in processing orders for export, including picking, packing and palletising of stock. Unpacking import consignments and assisting in the stock preparation for quarantine inspections. Some forklift/warehouse duties (if licenced). General site maintenance & cleaning. Potential driving duties as directed (if licenced). About you: To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate: Previous experience in a warehouse position. Positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods. Ability to work autonomously. Commitment to working in a safe manner. Reliable and dedicated to turning up each day. Ability to follow instructions and procedures. A Forklift licence is not essential but would be well regarded.
