Our legal team provides commercially focused legal support across the operational and functional divisions of the Pact business on a broad range of subject matters. Reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, your role sits within the group structure and as such is part of a legal team with a global remit. You will partner closely with all areas of our business and external advisors. Your key responsibilities will be to support and advise in the following areas; Commercial Contracting General legal advice Dispute resolution Regulatory support and advice Project and M&A Legal continuous improvement Your skills and experience Prior experience operating at a similar level of general commercial law in a private practice or in-house environment. Experience in FMCG, property, competition, dispute resolution, IP, OHS, HR/IR or IT would be advantageous but not essential. Proven history successfully advising on legal matters in New Zealand and/or Asia would be advantageous but not essential. Excellent oral and written communication, with ability to adjust style appropriate to the audience. Ability to quickly form working relationships and gain credibility with senior management. Ability to work autonomously and with the support of other members of the legal team as required. Understanding and ability to appreciate the strategic and commercial implications of decisions and the impact on the business. Innovative, enthusiastic, and versatile with a proactive 'problem-solving' approach to practice. Professionalism, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential requirements.
