We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Graphic Designer to join the team at Temple of the Sun in our Byron Bay head office. This key role plays a vital part in driving the design, visibility and growth of the brand both in the Australian market and globally. As part of the wider Marketing team, the Graphic Designer will be the custodian of Temple's aesthetic world and responsible for its visual language. They will have the ability to strategically weave our design language, aesthetic sensibilities and brand history throughout all of our visual content, taking our customers on a journey that inspires and connects. We are looking for a candidate who possesses strong Graphic Design skills, but also has a vision for how to propel the brand to new heights and into new markets. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Develop visually appealing designs for our unique products such as custom jewellery and new collections, aligning with client branding guidelines and business objectives. Collaborate with Temple of the Sun to understand the specific requirements, preferences and target audience demographics, ensuring that designs effectively communicate the desired message and resonate with the intended recipients. Utilise creative software tools and techniques to conceptualise, draft and refine design concepts, incorporating innovative elements and visual enhancements to enhance product attractiveness and marketability. Have extensive graphic design experience working with Adobe Suite, particularly in areas of retouching and grading, ideally in the fashion or jewellery sector Understands the brand at its core and is able to translate into tangible output across the various areas of the business Provide ongoing support and assistance to the sales and marketing teams, offering design expertise and insights to help drive customer engagement, generate leads and increase brand visibility and recognition. Collaborate with external vendors, suppliers and manufacturing partners to source materials, explore new production techniques and optimise cost-effectiveness without compromising design integrity or product quality. Conduct regular design reviews and evaluations, soliciting feedback from clients, colleagues and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, refine design strategies and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Experience with video editing, animation and After-Effects is highly necessary. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualifications A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools. Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory and layout composition. Ability to translate client requirements and brand guidelines into visually compelling and effective designs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, colleagues and stakeholders effectively. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to innovate and adapt designs to meet diverse business needs and market demands. Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics to ensure design accuracy, consistency and high-quality output. Knowledge of print production processes and materials to facilitate seamless collaboration with manufacturing teams and suppliers. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $90,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
