The Director of Learning and Teaching has an integral role in leading learning and academic care. This role is a Member of the College Leadership Team and receives 3 point pay. About you The successful applicant will join the team, focused on providing quality Catholic education, maximising student outcomes by offering a rich, relevant, and holistic curriculum that is student-centered, flexible, and challenging. Experience working in a leadership team preferable. The successful candidate for this position will be a highly effective leader who: is a committed Catholic who understands the evangelising mission of Catholic schools has the capacity to enliven the values of truth, empathy, excellence, curiosity, and collaboration in students with regard to the Mission and Vision of Sydney Catholic Schools is able differentiate pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning has a willingness to undertake continued professional development and faith formation can effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders and build relationships can analyse and use data to inform learning and engage in future planning is able to actively support the College’s educational initiatives and promote the Vision for Learning and Wellbeing has the ability to present to parents and understands the context of the College is willing to mentor peers and demonstrates strong professional relationships with colleagues shows evidence of contributing to the improvement of team/learning culture and teaching practices is able to provide a high level of academic leadership and implement whole school initiatives can effectively manage and co-ordinate a large team aligning resources and maintaining a standard of excellence You will have attained: a tertiary qualification in Education, preferably at a Masters level active membership with NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) with a minimum accreditation level of Conditional SCS Employee ID number or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS.
