We have an exciting opportunity available within our Infrastructure Planning & Land Services Division of the Public Transport Authority. About the role As the Senior Coordinating Project Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking and coordinating engineering feasibility, planning and concept design activities for medium to significant scale rail transport projects associated with the improvement, expansion and maintenance requirements of the Public Transport rail network. About You To excel in this role, you should possess: Relevant professional qualifications that would satisfy the admission requirement for Professional membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia. A proven experience in the planning and design engineering of railway infrastructure such that agreed outcomes are achieved. Highly developed project and contract management skills. A proven ability to effectively coordinate integrated multidisciplinary engineering design and planning activities across a project of medium to significant scale. The ability to effectively manage and lead staff, consultants and contractors to achieve agreed outcomes. The ability to collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders and peers to achieve integrated and effective outcomes. Highly developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills including ability to: Build and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Liaise and consult effectively at senior levels. Work constructively in a team environment. Negotiate persuasively and influence a range of parties (including stakeholders, and interest groups). Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills, including demonstrated ability to: Focus strategically. Develop innovative solutions to complex and unique problems.
