Maintenance Engineer who takes pride in maintaining a safe and functional environment. We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical/Maintenance Engineer to join our client in Derrimut, Victoria on a fulltime basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and grounds. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe and functional environment for our employees and visitors. Responsibilities include: Lead the site maintenance requirements to conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance, oversee new equipment installations and upgrades as part of project activities. Ensure that HSEQ practices are incorporated into all maintenance activities. Plan and manage the daily workload and priorities of the required maintenance tanks. Assist with the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and checklists. Ensure critical and maintenance spare parts availability to reduce machine downtime. Maintain a “hands-on” role with support of the site manager (and other staff members) and any contractors during maintenance or project works. Complete reporting on unplanned maintenance activities, unplanned downtime and plant availability. Manage actions for improvements or incidents in a timely manner. Experience: Minimum 3 years industrial machinery experience. Experience working in the e-waste, waste or metals recycling industries highly valued. Follows HSEQ standards and procedures. Scheduling and coordinating contractors. Problem-solving equipment maintenance issues is preferred. Adaptable to changing business priorities and have initiative and motivation to complete tasks. Multitask and manage multiple priorities, possess strong problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn, teach and assist others.
