With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD, Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be  The Role The Network Engineer within the ICT Team at Northern Health supports and manages a wide range of core network services and equipment throughout the Health Service in order to facilitate high availability to ensure high standards of patient care.The position will be within the ICT Team operating primarily from Northern Health at Epping, Victoria. The Network Engineer is exposed to a variety of Networking technologies and platforms providing design, implementation and Incident resolution services. A high degree of team work and stakeholder management skills is required for the role.As part of the ICT team, the Network Engineer provides 2nd and 3rd level support on all network infrastructure systems, including, but not restricted to, routing and switching, firewalls, VoIP (CUCM), wireless systems, internet connectivity, load balancers, DNS, DHCP, VPN Gateways.The Role is also required to provide general network support to other systems as needed such as Network Interfaces for Paging, Spok message integration, Nurse Call, Building Management and Automation Systems. To be successful in this role you will have: Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of an InformationTechnology/Engineering or related degree in conjunction with extensive IT experience in an enterprise scale organisation. Minimum 5 experience working in an enterprise environment as a Network Engineer is essential Demonstrated technical expertise in supporting network services that include LAN, WAN, Wireless, Voice, IDS/IPS, VPN Solutions, Web Application Firewalls, Content Filtering, StealthWatch, Cisco ISE, DNS/DHCP Systems. Technical architecture design and problem-solving skills and experience working on projects within a complex Network environment. Industry Certifications CCNP, CCIE Excellent communication skills (including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users), ability to deal effectively and develop personal credibility with senior management, clinicians and other ICT customers. Good personal organisation, time management skills and motivation to continually improve. ITIL Practitioner qualification or equivalent demonstrated knowledge of ITIL Next Steps . . .
