Permanent role based in Maddington, 10 hr days consisting of pickup/deliveries in trucks, yard & Forklift duties and managing equipment in the yard. JP Recruitment is seeking a Truck Driver / Yardman to join an engineering services company in their paint & blast division in Maddington. It's a unique role and would suit a truck driver who is happy to do non-driving duties such as yard work and equipment management - every day will be different, and you will direct yourself once familiar with the role. It's a HOT JOB in other words Main duties consist of: driving a prime mover with a drop deck trailer to/from customer site to pick up or deliver equipment; also an 8-tonne rigid truck. Deliveries between two company sites Receiving and unloading customers equipment Managing components in the yard - approximately 25% of the role is yard work Liaising with customers on site when picking up equipment - the role works closely with a major mining customer and the successful candidate will need to provide the utmost best service to keep the relationship strong. This role requires a person with good customer facing skills as you will be dealing with their key clients (mining customers) so excellent communication and presentation is required. Other key criteria you need to meet are:: HC or MC License and experience driving prime movers Forklift license and experience loading/unloading trucks Ability to work closely with team members, other divisions or clients Flexible and open-minded approach - this team work together to deliver what is needed, so good collaboration skills needed Able to work independently and without supervision The working week is Monday to Friday, 6am to 4pm. Pay is weekly and on offer is a rate of $40/hour.
