ABOUT THE NEW PROGRAM Kimberley Centre for Remote Medical Training (KCRMT) is a Commonwealth funded, end-to-end rural medical program based on the University’s Broome campus. KCRMT is one of the components that forms the University’s RHMT program which sits within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery and Health Sciences. The aim of KCRMT is to contribute to strengthening the medical workforce in the Kimberley. This is achieved through health research and the delivery of a fully accredited 4-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) program that is supported by dedicated academic and professional staff based in the Kimberley. Key responsibilities Perform a variety of high level administrative duties to support KCRMT in the areas of teaching, learning and research Provide a high level administrative function and ensuring effective and efficient administrative and project support. Create a range of high level documents including various correspondence, presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Provide financial and HR support. Provide excellent customer service to students and University stakeholders Completing tasks and communications in an accurate and timely manner, whilst liaising closely with other areas of the organisation. Ability to work accurately with detailed information; including data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, managing correspondence, collating data for report and under direction prepare a range of written communication Continuous improvement delivery by reviewing, developing, and implementing enhanced administrative systems and processes Coordinate timetabling and scheduling for the department by collaborating effectively with university staff Perform other responsibilities, commensurate with the expectations of a role at this level, which contribute to the overall objectives of the department. ABOUT YOU A Degree qualification with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Proven administration leadership experience in a busy, fluid environment (higher education experience highly regarded) Strong understanding of administrative policies and procedures and the ability to interpret and apply them Demonstrated success in the delivery of quality customer service Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people Demonstrated skills in strategic and project management and the ability to meet competing deadlines Excellent computer skills including email, internet, MS Office and student administration systems and the ability to learn and implement new systems Proven initiative, organisational and attention to detail skills with the demonstrated ability to meet competing deadlines Experience in a financial role including experience in procurement and financial processes Experience in servicing and attending committee meetings Perform other responsibilities, commensurate with the expectations of a role at this level, which contribute to the overall objectives of the department.
