Projects Engineer - Motors — Scoresby, Knox Area

Position Title: Projects Engineer – Motors WEG Australia Pty Ltd Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum WEG Australia are looking for an experienced Projects Engineer - Motors for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Scoresby, Victoria. The Project Engineer – Motors will be responsible for the following duties: Work in conjunction with the various Sales, Quotations and Contracts & Orders Teams to facilitate internal handover meetings, review applicable WAA quotations and any applicable technical specifications to prepare technical order forms for procurement of Motors BU products. Attend external and internal kick-off meetings either via teleconference or physical visit to facilitate technical specification for product procurement, including physical measurement for interchangeability of direct replacement orders. Using available tools and processes such as SAP variant configuration and excel based technical order forms and cost sheet, prepare technical procurement data for hand over to contracts and orders department. Responsible for clarification of technical requirements, options, selections, and specifications to our various factories to enable factory engineering as well as to enable product release to manufacture. Responsible for receipt, review, rework (if required) and release of certified documentation. This will include certified drawings, critical dimensions, test reports, datasheets, ITPs etc. Request to factories and other suppliers where applicable modifications of products (prior factory dispatch) and supplier orders revisions. Responsible to facilitate answers and solutions to client technical queries post order placement. Documentation and e-mail storage/organization as well as database maintenance for technical information on Motors BU products. Work in conjunction with the Business Unit manager to ensure that the technical aspects of the business Unit are understood by internal and external stakeholders. Allocated duties not specifically within this document, but within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from a person occupying a position at this level.
