As a Simulation Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining efficient Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, integrating simulation systems, and liaising with internal and external agencies at Navy Synthetic Warfighting Centre (NSWC). Your work will contribute to the development of technical test plans and exercise configurations, positioning you ahead in the market with invaluable skillsets and hands-on experience in simulation technologies. We are seeking an individual with an interest in the military applications of software technology, serious gaming, automation, virtualization, and cyber-security. This role is ideal for transitioning military technical personnel or recent IT graduates looking to break into the Defence sector. Preferred Requirements Linux System Administration experience with Linux Command Line / Shell Scripting Methodical approach to problem solving Exposure to cyber security practices Good working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems Good personal and professional communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Certificate IV, Diploma, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in an IT discipline Industry certifications such as CompTIA (A, Network or Linux), LPIC-1/2, Cisco CCNA, or RHCSA Eligibility or possession of a minimum NV1 AGSVA security clearance
