About the role We are looking to hire Disability Support Workers to assist the people we support across Rockhampton. We have permanent part time & casual positions available in both our Supported Independent Living homes and Lifestyle program. You will be a proactive and passionate support worker that is available to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including sleepovers and active nights. We are especially looking for candidates with availability to work sleepover shifts on Friday and Saturday evenings. These roles require you to provide transport for clients, so a valid Australian Drivers Licence and access to your own reliable vehicle is essential. As a Disability Support Worker you will be able to make a lifelong positive impact to the lives of the people we support, helping them to maintain their independence and achieve their personal goals. Key Responsibilities Day to day care (including personal care) and supervision Community access and transport Maintain and monitor Person Centred Plans Track and document an individual’s progress through thorough record-keeping Build rapport and collaborate effectively with the people we support and their families to establish positive relationships Skills & Experience Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle Current Provide First Aid and CPR Certificate Prior experience in the industry supporting clients with challenging behaviours and/or relevant qualifications will be highly regarded To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
