Accounts and Administration Assistant — The Hill, Newcastle Area

Opportunity for experienced Accounts or Bookkeeping professional to join a supportive consultancy firm in Broadmeadow. Full-time or part-time options. If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you About the Role: We are currently recruiting for a permanent Accounts and Administration Assistant to join a reputable consultancy based in Broadmeadow. This role offers the flexibility of full-time hours or part-time options, including four days per week or five school hour days. Reporting directly to the Director and Senior Team, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive support in both accounts and administration functions. Key responsibilities include: Managing accounts payable and receivable processes Processing invoices, bills, and payments accurately and efficiently Handling payroll processing, including employee entitlements and superannuation Reconciling bank transactions and maintaining financial records Monitoring and tracking monthly expenditure Providing general administrative support to senior management Coordinating office operations and ensuring smooth workflows Assisting with project scheduling and ad hoc tasks as required HR administration tasks including preparing contracts and procedures as needed Support with project reporting Monitoring timesheets using the WFM syste The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Demonstrated track record in accounts and administration roles, with preference given to those with experience in a similar capacity. Proficient in using Xero with strong proficiency in MS Excel. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at fostering positive relationships. Proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong initiative to take ownership of tasks. Meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy in all responsibilities. Collaborative team player who thrives in a cohesive team environment. Approachable with a positive and amicable demeanor. Trustworthy and reliable. Previous experience in a consultancy firm or project environment is highly desirable but not essential. Familiarity with collating and reporting on timesheets and timekeeping practices is advantageous, although not essential.
