Disability Support Worker. Permanent Part Time - Batemans Bay — Wollongong Area, Illawarra

You will be responsible for providing daily care to residents in Supported Independent Living homes as well as within our Community Program. About the role This opportunity presents a demanding yet deeply fulfilling prospect for you to make a positive change in the lives of people with disability. Our goal is to support people in their day-to-day lives by empowering our clients to find their strengths and build their capacity to live independently. The cornerstone of our approach is to offer opportunities for choice, self-expression, and active involvement across all facets of our daily care services. The types of care we provide to our clients may consist of personal care, community access and transportation, medication administration and documenting and progress note keeping. We are looking for applicants with availability to work one of the following permanent part-time opportunities: Contract 1: Week 1 Wednesday 1500-0900 Sleepover Sunday 1500-0900 Sleepover Week 2 Wednesday 1500-0900 Sleepover Friday 1500-0700 Sleepover Sunday 1500-0900 Sleepover Contract 2: Week 1 Monday 0900-1500 Community Tuesday 0900-1500 Community Wednesday 0930-1430 Community Friday 0900-1430 Community & Day Program Week 2 Wednesday 0930-1430 Community Friday 0900-1500 Community Contract 3: Week 1 Monday 0900-1200 Day Program Wednesday 0900-1500 Day Program Friday 09000-1500 Community Week 2 Wednesday 0900-1500 Day Program Friday 1000-1430 Day Program Saturday 0845-1415 Community Skills, Qualifications & Experience Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates as per NDIS requirements A current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals of people with disabilities The ability to develop a positive relationship with service users and to support their Individual Personal Plan To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
