Position Title: Sales and Customer Support Company: WEG Australia Pty Ltd Salary: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 11% Superannuation WEG Australia are looking for an experienced Sales and Application Engineer - Automation for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 37.5 hours per week based in Scoresby, Victoria. As a Sales and Application Engineer, your primary responsibility is to provide technical, sales, and marketing support for WEG Automation products, ensuring the highest standards of customer service. Key Responsibilities include: Provide pre and after-sales support on the selection, installation, operation, and maintenance of WEG Automation products. Offer commissioning and trouble-shooting assistance as needed. Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Liaise with WEG factories on technical matters and collaborate with the Service Team for assessments and opinions on warranty-related issues. Contribute to the development of marketing and sales support tools. Deliver technical presentations and product training to staff, business partners, and field service providers. Provide logistics and commercial support to WEG interstate offices and customers. Assist with technical and commercial benchmarking of WEG Automation products. Execute complex calculations on motor starting methods, starting time, sizing, and other applications. Collaborate with the sales team and business partners to create bespoke solutions. Assist with the preparation and submission of tenders involving Automation products, including package solutions. Provide order and project management support as required. Offer support to major industry fairs. Qualifications and Skills Essential: Electrical or Electronic technical qualification or equivalent technical experience. Minimum 2 years of related experience with switchgear, control products, variable speed drives, and/or soft starters. Understanding of motor starting, control, and protection strategies & solutions. Proficiency in problem-solving, data collection, and analysis. Ability to read, analyse, and interpret technical procedures and drawings. Proficient in MS Office programs and willingness to learn various software platforms. Desirable: Commercial background and experience as a Product Support or Design Engineer. Hands-on experience with the installation, start-up, and troubleshooting of mentioned products. Knowledge of relevant IEC and AS/NZS standards.
