Electrical Engineer — Malaga, Swan Area

SGS is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide technical, operational, and administrative support for the Electrical team in both site and office settings. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Malaga, WA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Relay testing, maintenance, breakdown repair, and testing of switchgear, transformers, switchboards, and circuit breakers, adhering to external customer directives, specifications, standards, and procedures. Implementation of tasks as defined by the Electrical Engineering, Maintenance, Testing, Field Manager(s) in accordance with all associated statutory regulations and standards in relation to: Earth Grid testing Transformer, Breaker and Cable. Thermography and Corona Inspection Low Voltage and High Voltage Electrical equipment Fault find, Testing, repairs and maintenance Reading single line diagrams. Support the Business Manager and the team in operation/logistics and coordination of projects. Qualifications Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering. Ability to learn HV/LV Power Systems testing and commissioning and perform that onsite. Proven Electrical knowledge. Experience with MV and HV Switchgear, Transformers, Circuit Breakers will be required. Experience with cable and switchboard partial discharge testing, both online and offline, is highly desirable. Experience reading single line diagrams. Frequent travel within Western Australia, Northern Territory and some International travel required. Current WA C Class Drivers License.
