Apply New role providing Database Administration support to Bank Technology Lead implementation of platform and services from inception through to production Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne location with great benefits and WFH flexibility About the role As a Database Administrator (DBA) at Suncorp, you lead the implementation of industry best practices and technologies to automate data supply chains, blend data from various sources, and enhance its value for business consumers. The DBA drives the technical vision for complex programs of work and are accountable for ensuring alignment to standards, governance, and strategy across a portfolio of applications and projects. The DBA role is wide-ranging in many respects supporting across config, build, tuning and general support and troubleshooting. What you'll do Drive forward the delivery of data platform solutions to align with architectural visions and strategy. Ensure platforms, systems, and services are robustly supported to achieve service objectives, emphasizing resilience and scalability. Lead large scale implementation of platform and services from inception through to production, maintaining quality documentation and procedures for the ongoing support of the platform. Participate in the delivery of data acquisition, data transformation and data pipelines through to the point of consumption. Coordination of deployment and release activities for the team. On call support as required (rostered). What you'll bring 5 years previous experience in a comparable Database Administration role. Experience with cloud providers such as AWS/Azure and Cloud services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS). Strong experience with DB2 V12. SQL Admin and tuning skills. Knowledge of Linux/Windows/z/OS system implementation and management. JCL, Control-M, SDSF, COBOL, IBM utilities, RACF and Mainframe storage technologies experience. Experience administering and automating database access and permissions in complex environments. Exposure to migration projects into the AWS cloud space implementing data warehousing solutions using technologies including Redshift, DMS, DB2, Kafka.
