We are seeking a motivated Training Assistant to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering high-quality training and assessment in accordance with industry standards and compliance requirements. This is a part-time, term-time Vocational Training Assistant (Agriculture) role and is for 4 days - Tuesday to Friday (30.4 hours) per week commencing in Term 1, 2024. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the delivery and assessment of structured and engaging training sessions to support learners in achieving their training goals. Ensure all training resources are current and compliant with regulations. Support the use of fair, valid, and current teaching and assessment strategies. Collaborate in the development and review of training and assessment materials. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of individual training plans tailored to learners' needs. Manage risk according to workplace health and safety guidelines and policies. Assist in the preparation, conduct, and documentation of training delivery and assessment procedures. Maintain accurate training records and submit assessment results promptly. Support participation in internal and external audits and follow-up actions as required. Maintain vocational and industry currency and qualifications. Assist with general program-related duties at our Belmont and Port Curtis Farms. Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Industry currency in relevant areas such as livestock husbandry, animal welfare, tractor operation, rural fencing, and environmental practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Certificate III in Agriculture or related industry qualification. Current First Aid and CPR Accreditation. Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control (ACDC) Licence. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desired; RGS is willing to support obtaining this qualification). Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and Police Check.
