There is an opportunity for a new Warehouse Materials Assistant to join the dynamic team. Your Role You will report to the Warehouse Manager and work in a fast-paced warehouse. You'll be responsible for assisting in all aspects of Warehouse Administration and have a handle on all incoming and outgoing freight consignments. On a daily basis, you will be required to; Process all incoming and outgoing freight within segregated areas pertaining to the client and allocations space Ensure full alignment between physical cargo in the FDC and on the Control Tower Photograph or label all incoming freight and cross dock for linehaul, ensuring the quality control of photographs at all times Check completed manifests against actual trailer loads and sign off prior to finalising consignments Administer departing consignment once completed and confirmed Assist with unloading, reviewing and confirming items that arrive on back freight consignment from site with priority for processing Maintain alignment between physical incoming and outgoing cargo against final Consignment Notes Follow instructions from the Manager in regards to requirements for daily loads Provide Activity Notes for any freight that arrives in a condition required to report, and communicate to the office to ensure this is captured for billing purposes Coordinate any DG requirements for DG freight Hold, report and remediate any cargo that is not suitable for further movement in the supply chain Reject and notify any missing cargo to the Manager Assisting with loading and unloading when help is required and/or during downtime Identify opportunities for continuous improvement (service, cost, quality, HSEQ) Ensure Work Health & Safety incidents and near misses are reported immediately and participate in incident investigations as required Other Details The position is Full-Time Permanent, and hours are 7:30am – 4pm M-F. Being a Transport & Warehousing environment, it's very fast paced and the occasional overtime (but not regular or excessive) will be required. About You You will be a go-getter, energetic and love working with people You’ll have at least 5 years of experience in a Warehousing & Transport environment and understand Dangerous Goods handling You'll be fit, healthy and able to move around large warehouses with ease A solid working knowledge of TMS's and other Transport Related Software and Document Processes You'll be highly organised and have excellent attention to detail A keen desire to help people enjoy their workplace and return home safely You’ll be willing and available to work in a fast paced warehouse requiring short turnaround times What to do now To register your interest in this dynamic position, submit your current confidential CV via the application link.
