An exciting fixed-term opportunity is available to join Forensic Intervention Services as an Administration Officer within the Support Services team. What does the Forensic Intervention Services team do? As a division of Corrections Victoria, Forensic Intervention Services is a specialist program area that provides service users in custody and in the community with evidence-based screening, assessment, and offence-specific intervention services to support their rehabilitation. In doing so, Forensic Intervention Services is a critical component of the department's strategy to reduce reoffending and contribute to community safety. What does an Administration Officer do? The Support Services team manages the day-to-day operations of Forensic Intervention Services providing a range of corporate services including the human resources and recruitment activities of the business unit; coordination of the financial processing and budget functions; coordination of all business correspondence; and oversight and management of the physical facilities and resources of Forensic Intervention Services. The Administration Officer, Support Services, is required to provide general administrative support through activities such as reception duties, file management, data entry and using and maintaining standard office equipment and software. This role is also required to undertake secretariat duties to support the business unit, including generating meeting agendas and minute taking. The role involves some contact with service users. What skills should the Administration Officer, Support Services, have? The Administration Officer is a key role in the Support Services team, and we are looking for someone who is motivated and committed to take on this role. As our ideal candidate, you will possess: The ability to develop and maintain effective and productive working relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and external providers. Well developed customer service skills, including the ability to appropriately manage and respond to incoming telephone calls, service users, visitors, and enquiries. You will also have experience in providing secretariat support, such as minute taking and related tasks, and be motivated to learn new skills. Experience in using government systems and Microsoft Office suite is highly desirable. What's in it for you?
