Your Opportunity We are looking to hire a Warehouse Specialist with MILIS (Military Integrated Logistics Information System) experience who will perform warehousing services under the guidance and direction of the Commonwealth and the Serco department Manager in the Middle East Logistics & Base Services Contract (MELABS). In addition to the core role of performing warehousing duties, this position is required to provide operational and admin support to other service lines including movement coordination and base security services when directed. The ideal candidate should have good time management, people management, administrative & good communications skills. This role is part of our Logistics team and will be based in our MELABS contract in Dubai, UAE. (please note this is NOT a FIFO position) Key Accountabilities Efficiently and safely execute Warehousing Services: Perform all aspects of Warehousing Services and inventory administration (MILIS) Provide an overtime/weekend capability on occasions with advance notice which is to be agreed by the Manager and customer Comply with the Warehousing SOP Operate the shredding capability, after receiving the items to be shredded from the ADF Support the management of the Serco MELABS asset inventory system and tracking of client owned Government furnished equipment and facilities, ensuring applicable department managers are following the SOP Operate MHE (inc. forklift up to 10-ton lifting capacity) Efficiently and safely execute Millis Software Operations Millis operator must hold a valid AGSVA Australian Baseline clearance and have completed the following online training P108617 MILIS Introduction P109573 MILIS Stocktake Recorder P115193 MILIS Unit Supervisor P107574 MILIS Disposals P115251 MILIS Warehouse Operator Ensure that the stock take counts are completed on timely manner and data entry to the Millis system Conduct freight consolidation prior to packaging for transport and Complete freight documentation Ensure that all Millis operational requirements are completed on timely manner When required by line management, perform Contract Specialist duties including movement coordination tasks, base security administration and escorting contractors and staff around the site as directed. Operational Excellence & Innovation: To proactively promote innovation and to proliferate best practice and support the review the service strategy on an ongoing basis Specific Requirements Must be an Australian citizen and hold valid Australian Passport (minimum 9 months validity required) Current valid Australian Drivers Licence (in order to obtain UAE driving licence) AGSVA Security Clearance requirements – Possess an active Australian Baseline security clearance or higher issued by AGSVA or previously held a baseline clearance or higher in the past approx. 8 years (so Serco can sponsor the reactivation of the security clearance) or candidate is to provide a recent police criminal history report from Australia (and also from the local GCC country if candidate is currently residing in the GCC) so Serco can sponsor the successful candidate’s application to AGSVA for a baseline clearance Possess a minimum of 7 years’ experience in any of the following sectors (in either Government, Defence or Private sector) including global logistics, multi-modal transportation, inventory management and distribution, personnel movements Possess a minimum of 5 years recent warehouse experience including the use of MHE up to 10 ton lifting capacity (mandatory)Possess the following MILIS certifications (mandatory) - P108617 MILIS Introduction P109573 MILIS Stocktake Recorder P115193 MILIS Unit Supervisor P107574 MILIS Disposals P115251 MILIS Warehouse Operator A minimum of 3 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced operations environment Experience working for a Defence Force client in the Middle East – desirable What’s in it for you?
