The position of Engineering Manager requires being involved in the day to day functions of engineering designs, equipment selections, design reviews, alternative design submissions and tendering proposals. What You’ll be Doing Working with Project Managers, Estimators and Contractors main tasks shall include: Review consultant design drawings and specifications and other relevant project documentation to determine the scope of works required for the project. Carryout re-design, Value Management and raise technical queries as required on tender enquiries to determine the plant layouts and system capacities. Carryout engineering design and calculations to provide system design for construction documentation. Provide final equipment selections including required capacities and efficiencies for procurement and construction. Planning and Execution of the project Engineering Program Engineering engagement with Industry as part of a holistic contract management approach Carryout and site inspections to ensure the HVAC installation is in line with the relevant documentation and specifications. Witness commissioning of HVAC system in ensure equipment and building is operating at optimum performance. A Bit About You N.B – Must be Citizen or have PR for Security Clearance requirements Experienced working as a Senior Engineer, Construction Manager / Operations Manager or a highly experienced Project Manager looking to step up, within Construction and/or HVAC or similar industries Worked on commercial construction projects over $10-$20 million Leading and Managing a small team of competent Engineering practitioners Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work with remote field based employees & across multi-layers of the business Strong technical background with the ability to break down technical information Degree, diploma or trade qualification in mechanical, Civil or Industrial engineering Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate this information into process methodologies What You’ll Get UNIQUE Career Opportunity (rarely offered in most cities) to FAST TRACK to General Manager of the Canberra Branch in 2 years $ Relocation Support $ – Canberra Based Role – Booming pipeline of Blue chip projects A highly competitive remuneration package Relocation Support / Assistance if required Vehicle or car allowance provided A positive team environment with support from management After hours and overtime work available Company uniform, phone, and training provided We are looking for people that can provide sensational Client and Stakeholder communication and ability to be on the ground in ACT to join their team as soon as possible.
