As an established organisation with a mature risk and compliance culture, they are seeking an experienced Financial Service Lawyer to join their team. The Role The Senior Legal Counsel will be working directly with the Head of Legal and Compliance, as part of a team function responsible for managing all the legal compliance obligations for the business. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to: · Providing legal advice & support to all business units · Working as an SME providing legal advice on ASIC & APRA regulations · Overseeing legal risk management controls · Legislative and regulatory monitoring · Liaising with executives and broader business to deliver on strategic initiatives and provide legal support. · Working with external legal services and counsel. · Providing guidance on governance, compliance and risk management for the broader business · Ad-hoc duties as required.
