About the Role: Due to an internal promotion, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Design Systems Lead to join our Design & Customer Programs team in a full-time and permanent capacity. The role can be based in our CBD Market Street Head Office or any of the large regional depots. The Design Systems Lead reports to the Manager Design Performance and will support bridging the gap between Engineering Design and IT systems, hardware, design software (CAD packages), survey tools to ensure that material investment decisions are underpinned by sound commercially founded and strategically aligned rationale. The ideal person for this role will have an advanced level of knowledge and experience in CAD packages, 3D modelling and survey capture such as LIDAR and photogrammetry. What you'll deliver: Assist in the maintenance and trouble-shooting of design systems to ensure optimum efficiency of design tools for the business Undertake engineering review and business consultation of design systems / technologies opportunities to ensure solutions provide positive business outcomes Support and develop of tools, processes and systems and document developments to improve efficiency. This includes project managing new and systems upgrade projects to meet expected performance standards Liaise with IT, Technical Standards, Control and Operations, and Field groups to maintain and update information as required Actively support and embed new or modified processes and systems Undertake change activities to support new ways or working with network technology Conduct process audits as scheduled, to determine process effectiveness and report status to the business To succeed in this role you'll have: Advanced Diploma in ESI Power Systems, Certificate of Technology, and/or other tertiary qualifications in either Electrical Engineering or relevant business discipline Detailed understanding of electricity distribution network assets Detailed understanding of Engineering Technical Standards, VESI Design, Australian Standards would be advantageous Expert level of computer aided design knowledge of concepts Strong attention to detail and good communication and interpersonal skills Facilitation and presentation skills to ensure wide understanding and buy-in to business processes Your career with us: We have a diversity of teams across our business, all contributing to great customer and community outcomes.
