As the Underground Construction Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of construction activities related to shaft sinking & underground infrastructure development. What you'll do Ensure Management of Change compliance and adherence throughout project lifecycle Ensure Execution plan gate criteria readiness and demonstration of mitigation to execution risks Review the Contractor's Quality Assurance & Inspection plans Maintain Company inspection, monitoring & hold points Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the approved QAP/QIP & Contract Terms Inspect works for technical compliance with drawings, specifications & scopes of work Highlight deficiencies, initiate & close out non-conformance reports Understand commercial terms involved on EPCM projects Understand equipment application and environmental responsibilities Recognize potential engineering hazards and risks What you'll have Demonstrated experience in construction management, with a focus on shaft sinking and underground infrastructure projects within the mining industry Strong knowledge of mining regulations, standards & best practices Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from initiation to completion Excellent leadership, communication & interpersonal skills Why you should apply Competitive salary commensurate with experience Employee benefits package (location specific) Opportunity for professional development and career advancement within a global engineering company An opportunity to be involved with the development of a mine that will set new standards in sustainable mining Location consideration While we prefer candidates based in the UK, we are open to discussing remote work arrangements for exceptional candidates who may be located elsewhere.
