Maintenance Electrician — Greenacre, Bankstown Area

The Maintenance Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems and equipment at our manufacturing facility. Working as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a strong background in electrical maintenance, preferably in the FMCG and food manufacturing sector. Key Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively to prevent unplanned downtime. Document maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history records. Safety and Compliance: Comply with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards to maintain regulatory compliance. Participate in safety training programs and initiatives to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and best practices. Contribute to the development and implementation of reliability-centred maintenance strategies to enhance equipment performance and reliability. Qualifications and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or technical training is required. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and equipment commonly used in manufacturing environments. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Experience working in an FMCG or Food Manufacturing site highly sought after.
