We are looking for a bright, dynamic and ‘keen to learn’ team member to join our busy Purchasing team. The Purchasing Officer is responsible for providing efficient and effective purchasing services for all departments across the winery. What is the role? Purchase materials, equipment and/or supplies at the best price in accordance with purchasing guidelines Liaise with suppliers regarding ordering, quotes and invoices Follow up all outstanding purchase orders Maintain all purchasing records Establish effective working relationship with suppliers Batch purchase orders and delivery dockets for processing Ensure pricing in purchasing system is correct for items purchased Assist in data entry and purchasing administrative activities About You Our ideal candidate will possess the ability to learn quickly, have proficient computer skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be a proactive team player who has a high attention to detail, strong customer service skills and effective time management. Previous experience in a similar purchasing role within manufacturing will be highly regarded but is not essential to this role.
