The Automation Engineer plays a pivotal role in enhancing manufacturing and product delivery performance at Tullamarine facility. Responsible for overseeing automation, instrumentation, and control engineering aspects, this role involves planning, managing, and ensuring the successful delivery of daily operational needs and capital projects. Key Responsibilities: As Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of the manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities include championing a safety-conscious culture by adhering to protocols and implementing measures to mitigate risks. Additionally, you will drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness and closely monitor production costs to optimise performance. You will oversee the successful implementation of capital projects, leveraging your expertise to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within budget. Assisting with continuous improvement and lean initiatives, you will spearhead efforts to enhance operational efficiency and streamline processes. Moreover, you will focus on improving quality performance by reducing waste and enhancing Right First Time metrics, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of excellence. Experience: Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering discipline (e.g., electrical, electronic, or mechatronic engineering). Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and process control systems (PLC, SCADA, Profinet/Ethernet). Proficiency in programming and fault finding with PLCs and Drives (Siemens, Allen Bradley, B&R, Mitsubishi). Experience with AutoCAD and other electrical schematic drawing packages.
