Our Opportunity To support our ongoing growth, PROK are currently seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Bayswater, WA. Daily duties typically include. Support the product line in identifying and implementing and managing product development projects as approved by the Product Line Manager, not limited to scope generation, sending/receiving and collating information. Provide technical support and engineering into the Product Line to maximise the performance of the department. Extending to applying the same methodology in relation to extending the performance or reducing the costs of conveyor component. Validating designs from research & development in relation to their application and supporting the process of field trials for new equipment. Liaise with the Global PROK business units, as required, to provide information that supports the ongoing development and improvement of PROK’s products. Assist and align with the PROK business unit of a realistic timeline and allocation of resources to achieve the goal in a timely manager. Secondly, develop and monitor timing plans of associated projects. Create concept designs, layouts, and scopes of work for completion by our design/drafting team. Opportunity to take ownership of the engineering phase of projects to ensure drawings and documentation deliverables are completed on time, on budget, to the scope and at the right quality. Assist with the product range and product space review and co-ordination with Global business units The Right Person The ideal candidate for this position would have: A bachelor’s degree or diploma of engineering in a mechanical discipline A genuine passion for mechanical engineering and problem solving. High attentional to detail Excellent communication skills Full working rights in Australia Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word Experience with 3D parametric software, Inventor preferred.
