Due to our involvement in a number of new projects and studies, we are currently recruiting for experienced Structural Designers to join our Brisbane based team to support our growing pipeline of projects. We are looking for game changing professionals who are leaders in their field & looking to make their mark in exchange for a diverse career among our inclusive team of technical experts. The tasks you'll perform: Assist in the layout and detailing of materials handling and mine plant design. Maintain proficiency in all aspects of AutoCAD and Microstation software, complying with the necessary Company and project procedures. Manage multiple tasks and prioritise where necessary to achieve agreed deliverables to a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Review of vendor drawings and design data. Work in conjunction with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet project design work criteria and deliverables. Demonstrate a sound understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in the materials handling industry. Producing Company and industry standard models and design drawings from the design engineer calculations and sketches. Follow and implement all relevant Company standards and procedures and ensure design drawings comply with all relevant Australian and International Standards. Ensure the correct use of project defined standard design details and notes are used in the production of project design drawings. Demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement of design and safety. Produce 'fit for purpose' design drawings to suit project complexities and client requirements. The expertise you'll bring: University Degree in Engineering Design Drafting or 3 years' experience in a similar role with relevant industry experience. Structural design experience in mineral processing plants Experience in AutoCAD and Microstation Experience in gold, base metals is advantageous Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including Clients, vendors and co-workers Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge across a broad range of disciplines Proven time management and organisational skills Excellent written and verbal communication The benefits we'll provide Lycopodium has a strong company culture focused on career progression and technical skill development.
