Sanctuary Recruitment is working with an upscale residential aged care facility located in the heart of Greenwich, NSW, easily accessible by bus, to find a Barista/Cafe All rounder. This brand-new, state-of-the-art building boasts three floors of elegant living spaces, including a breathtaking rooftop area. Their commitment is to provide the highest quality care and service to the residents and their families, ensuring their comfort, well-being, and enjoyment. Position Overview: Our client is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista/Cafe All Rounder to join their team. This role is integral to the operation of the on-site cafe, which serves the residents and their families as soon as they enter the facility. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, creating delicious beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, in a timely manner. Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and handle payments efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including equipment, serving areas, and dining spaces. Assist with food preparation, including assembling light snacks and pastries. Engage with residents and their families in a friendly and respectful manner, ensuring their needs and preferences are met. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the cafe and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Requirements: Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a cafe or hospitality setting. Demonstrated ability to prepare and serve high-quality beverages, including espresso-based drinks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
