Customer Service Officer — Sydney CBD, Sydney

The Customer Service Officer forms part of the Election Staffing Employment Helpdesk. It consists of a team of up to 11 operators who provide assistance to electors who use the Expression Of Interest (EOI) to apply for work on Election Day or at the Election Managers Office. About the role: 6-month contract starting the 29 th of April until the 1 st of November Full time office-based position in Sydney CBD, 231 Elizabeth St Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm $34.58 per hour Super (overtime rates apply if and when required) Candidates must be Australian citizens and enrolled on the electoral roll to be considered for this position. Candidates must be willing to obtain a National Police Check and sign a Political Neutrality Document before starting in the role. The Customer Service Officer is the first point of contact for all employment enquiries and responsibilities include: Provide assistance by answering questions on how to apply for work, how to complete online training and how to complete timesheets via Aurion; Data entry into Staffing Election System, including resetting passwords and updating personal details; Contact external organisations to enquire about work opportunities available via expression of interest; Reply to email enquiries in a timely and professional manner; Escalate issues to Team Leader as appropriate. Role requirements: Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate information in a clear, accurate and respectful manner to people of diverse backgrounds. Experience in a call centre environment or phone-based customer service (reception, switchboard). Strong customer service skills. Ability to work and build relationships in a team environment with a high level of professionalism. Strong computer skills in the use of MS Office, including Excel, Outlook and Word, and demonstrated ability to respond to email enquiries using templates. Ability to manage own workload, whilst managing competing priorities. Political neutrality with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/third party campaigners. Interested?
