JOB ID: 1589 MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST PERMANENT PART-TIME - 3 DAYS PER WEEK SPECIALIST PRACTICE IN THE INNER NORTHWEST We are seeking a professional and caring person to be the face of reception at a busy front desk and deal with various administration tasks. Patient care is of the utmost importance in this practice from consultation to clinical procedures and post-procedure management. This role offers the perfect opportunity for the person seeking a work/life balance. Work close to home in the Inner Northwest of the city (Moonee Ponds), with all-day parking nearby or within walking distance of the local train station with trams at your door and the local shopping precinct. Days and hours: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 am to 6 pm. Duties include: Meet and greet patients. Running consulting sessions. Preparing and receipting consult accounts. Billing of procedures. Preparing theatre lists. Use of Genie medical software is preferred. Answering telephone. Booking patient appointments. Data entry of patient details. Open and close practice. General admin. duties - scanning, faxing, filing etc. Maintenance of the reception area. End of day duties. Essential Criteria: Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. Clear communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with doctors, staff, patients etc Excellent telephone manner. Professional presentation at all times (uniform provided). Ability to work within a team, as well as independently. Ability to prioritise and organise workflow effectively. Proven computer skills. The successful candidate must be able to work within a team environment and display a calm, professional, and friendly manner. Medical rooms experience in a similar role is highly regarded together with a strong understanding of patient care and confidentiality. Salary is negotiable on skill level and experience.
