The key responsibilities of the role are: Delivering high quality evidence based social work assessments and interventions to consumers of the OPMHS. Contribute to the advancement of quality social work services and optimal clinical outcomes, through provision of service development, quality improvement, and clinical education. Monitoring and reporting on work practices and outcomes, including initiating, planning, and evaluating relevant quality and research initiatives. This role may be eligible for the Queensland Health Attraction Incentive. See link - Queensland Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: High level knowledge, expertise and skills in managing an allocated workload to deliver social work services, including assessment, intervention and evaluation within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with established clinical & departmental protocols, policies and procedures, utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards. Ability to liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with clients and their carers, other health professionals, students, and external agencies to achieve a client centred approach, utilising negotiation, and conflict resolution skills as required. Ability to provide high level general and profession specific clinical advice to clinical leaders, team leaders and other multidisciplinary team members within the service, and to external community-based providers supporting consumer care. Ability to continually develop clinical practice knowledge, skills and expertise through self-directed learning, active learning within a team environment and engaging in professional development activities, including participating in the performance appraisal and development plans. Experience in the identification, development, implementation and evaluation of quality and service improvement and/or research activities that enhance the delivery of social work services. Mandatory Requirements: Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16 The possession of a tertiary degree from a recognised tertiary institution in Social Work providing eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers is required.
