The core capability requirements for this role are: Act as a legal practitioner for the Queensland Police Service. Provide legal advice to the Senior Executive concerning substantive law. Maintain and comply with the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct. Process and manage legal requests for disclosure served on the Commissioner of Police Provide legal advice and assistance on statutory release mechanisms. Represent the Service in courts of law in the production of documents and arguments on privilege and sensitive matters. Supervision and staff performance management, as required. Role Requirements: Mandatory: Admission or eligibility for immediate admission as a barrister, solicitor or legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland. Qualification: Possession of a degree in law from a recognised tertiary institution, or equivalent qualification.
