Provide written and verbal legal advice in relation to the investigation of major and organised criminal activity. Draft legal documents including warrants and affidavits Represent the QPS in court proceedings including applications for covert warrants Preparation and submission of legal administrative reports relating to covert warrants and checking and updating of warrant records. Liaise with relevant outside bodies including Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and government agencies. Contribute to the development and delivery of legal training programs relevant to the investigation of major and organised criminal activity. Role Requirements- Mandatory: Admission or eligibility for immediate admission as a barrister, solicitor or legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to the minimal level of Negative Vetting Level 1 Qualification: Possession of a degree in law from a recognised tertiary institution, or equivalent qualification. Other: The successful applicant will be required to undergo psychometric assessment, prior to appointment. Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position they may be exposed to material (written, visual and audio) of a graphic and sensitive nature.
