Worley is looking to engage a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Construction Department based in Perth. As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for supporting a Project or multiple Projects and Industries, Discipline Managers by providing continuous construction input into design, schedule, front end planning, and estimating including Advance Work Packaging to support Construction and Commissioning in later phases. The Home Office Construction Manager will be responsible and accountable for all required deliverables, inclusive of budget, schedule, and subcontract management, and will coordinate appropriate information flow among key stakeholders to ensure smooth operation. This role interacts internally and externally, daily and with people from various levels of the organization. What you'll do The role responsibilities include: Provide Construction input and technical expertise on all construction related activities integrating engineering and procurement. Develop Construction Execution Strategy for assigned scope and develop organization charts and resource plans for follow on phases. Implement and manage a constructability program, including chairing of constructability reviews and production of reports as well as implement advanced Work packaging processes for assigned scope. Drive the "right to left" delivery model and ensuring all aspects of design and procurement has sufficient construction input and implement construction readiness process while ensuring the Construction Execution Plan has mitigated execution risks. Work with Contracts and Procurement teams to develop contracting strategy and support capability assessments, prequalification, tender lists and Tender submission reviews. Develop modularization / pre-assembly approach and undertake Modularization studies and pre-assembly opportunities including evaluation of Pre-assembly versus conventional build. Coordinate with HSE Manager in the preparation of the Construction Health and Safety plan. Ensures that all proposed site construction methods and procedures are safe and adequate in all respect. Ensure that the proposed construction methods, procedures and practices are in all respects, particularly those relating to quality assurance, safety, personnel and industrial relations, properly complied with. Assesses Construction risks and construction logistics at every stage of design and ensure safe, efficient and structured delivery of all construction activities in accordance with the Project schedule. Work with Company Subject Matter Experts to address transportation logistics and crane studies for key lifts. Provide input in preparing the weekly / monthly report and assist with mobilization and de-mobilization planning of resources to meet schedule requirements. Provide construction input to estimating and develop construction estimates / pricing to support the development of the TIC estimates. Review engineering deliverables to ensure that constructability issues are incorporated. Engage with external stakeholders necessary to develop the construction execution methodology. Attend critical engineering reviews such as Model Reviews / Layout reviews etc and provide input to project risk management process and risk registers. With the Completions and Commissioning team develop processes and procedures for the subsequent phases including systemization, start-up sequencing. Develop path of construction, scaffolding and temporary access plans for assigned scope, as well as temporary facilities plan including estimates for all required facilities and lay down in assigned scope. Provide input to the planning process and develop construction and commissioning schedule. What you'll have Recognized field and office background with extensive management experience. Excellent communications skills and ability to communicate effectively with the Stakeholders involved both verbally & in writing. Methodical work ethic; ensuring consistency in output. Capable of working independently and must have staff management experience (knowledge transfer). Attention to detail and high level of accuracy, analytical and problem-solving skills and Task Ownership. Demonstrable experience in similar role or senior position in Construction Management. Extensive knowledge of the construction process, its implementation and management. Delivery focused and committed to achievement of project/company goals.
