About the role An exciting new opportunity has come available to join ARRCS Katherine team as their Driver and Grounds Officer. This position is on an hourly rate of $26.04 - $26.56 / hour gross (dependent on skills and experience) 25% casual loading. This casual role will see you providing general driving support for our residents including taking them to the bank, to the shops, general visits etc. In addition, when not required to provide driving support you will work with our maintenance team with general grounds maintenance across the facility. This role is to provide support to both our Rocky Ridge Aged Care and Katherine Hostel facility as operationally needed. As the successful candidate, you will ideally have previous experience in a driving role and be comfortable to work with our elderly residents and support them on outings. You will be able to drive a 8-10 seater van on a NT Drivers Licence and be a pro-active person supporting the maintenance and grounds of our facilities. Prior experience working in a driver or support orientated role. An understanding of recruitment processes and procedures. Strong communication skills. Comfortable working with and interacting with our elderly residents with respect and dignity. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proactive work ethic with strong problem-solving skills.
